Literature Text

The Wind howled and screeched, it swirled around her and chilled her to the bone. She stuck her frozen hands under her arms and made her way across the forest floor. The Wind swept up her hair and sent it stinging and whipping about her face. Mousekeeper braved against it and continued on. The trees bellowed and swayed and twirled menacingly, the Wind blowing and diving through them. Their branches waved around violently, coming threateningly close to Mousekeeper, then pulling back quickly. She hurried on until she came to the Piano. She quickly sat down, wiped some leaves off of the keys and then began to play. The Piano knew what song would appease the wind. The melody began. Mousekeeper closed her eyes, she knew this one well. The Wind immediately softened. The trees slowed their dance and the air lost it's biting chill. The Wind gently swirled around the Mousekeeper and her Piano, it kissed her face. "Don't open your eyes," it whispered to her.
